Windows snap dont fit correctly
« on: October 28, 2010, 09:57:49 PM »
I have a little issue with the windows snap function, well only when i select it from the taskbar.. 'windows side by side' function.

when i select side by side from taskbar i get 2 narrow windows to the left of my screen instead of filling the screen as like when you would use drag.

this happens i would say about 95% of the time i try this from the taskbar.

also i have tried almost everything i could think of to try and fix this issue without any luck, my pc has also had a clean install a while back but still issue still there.

now i have had this issue from day one, like i said its not a problem just one of those annoyancies.

system;
Acer Aspire AX1301
Windows 7 Ultimate X64
AMD Athlon II X2 215 dual core processor
4GB DDR2
1TB HDD
DVD Super multi drive
Nvidia Geforce 9200 Intergrated....................................................personally i think this is causing the issue.

I have tried duplicating your problem using different resolutions (which should not have done anything anyway) on my primary monitor to no avail.

Do you have the most current drivers for your monitor installed?  If not this could caused by using the generic Microsoft drivers.

Yes everything is all upto date, but will check the monitor driver as i didnt check that, tried different res/turning off all start up programs, side bar etc.. the machine works perfect with no other issues at all LOL I have had this problem from day one.

I have seen your system specifications and pics elsewhere, however you did not list your monitor.  Like I mentioned earlier might be a driver issue!!

MY SYSTEM: WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE X64
GEFORCE NVIDIA 9200 INTERGRATED
AMD ATHLON II X2 215 DUAL PROCESSOR
4 GB RAM
1TB HDD
DVD-SUPER MULTI DRIVE

Vista drivers should work just fine.  However run windows update, it is possible more current drivers are there.

Your video card being a Nvidia Geforce 9200 this is these correct drivers for it,

I think next time i do a clean install i will install drivers one by one and check the windows side by side and see if i find the issue.
