Win 7 Tweaks on SSD - Manual or Gigatweek-like Program

With my systems I am always trying to maximize speed (that's why I crash so much  ).  

As such, on my new 80 GB SSD, am I wise to use the more time consuming manual process or should I use a tweeking program like Gigatweek?  

My reasons for hesitating to use a Tweaking Program are three-fold:

1) It must be installed
2) I don't trust other people/programs to do this for me
3) I am very comfortable in the Registry

Why don't you open Notepad along with regedit, copy and paste the modified keys and save as  incurablegeektweek.reg...

Manual is preferable to not knowing what someone else is doing to my computer...lol.
